Who Should Attend?
PreKindergarten through Grade 12 General Education, Content Area, Special Education, and ESL/Bilingual Teachers will:

Gain a deeper appreciation for the strengths and understanding of the needs of ELLs
Learn new instructional practices and discover new resources to support language learning
Analyze the academic language demands of content standards and curricular materials
Consider new strategies to improve the educational outcomes of ELLs, including newcomers, those with disabilities, and/or interrupted formal education
Expand repertoire of tools and approaches for collaborating with other stakeholders in the education of ELLs
Find new ways to advocate in support of ELLs
School and District Administrators will:

Explore ways to strengthen the continuum of services provided to ELLs
Understand the integration of language and content standards and assessment
Learn how data from language proficiency and content assessments can be used to support decisions and inform goal setting
Discuss how to build staff capacity as well as family and community involvement
Those who support the education of ELLs will:

Attend sessions presented by outstanding educators and national experts
Take time to reflect on innovative and inspirational practices with your colleagues
Forge new relationships with peers from around the country
