"Exploring Approaches to Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum"

CARLA will sponsor the next conference on Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum (CLAC) at the University of Minnesota from March 9-10, 2012. The conference theme, “Exploring Approaches to Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum” will look at the many ways and contexts in which CLAC can strengthen language learning and add depth to disciplinary curriculum.

Building on a strong foundation of well-attended conferences sponsored by CLAC consortium members across the country, the 2012 conference will draw on CARLA’s work in immersion education and content-based language instruction. The conference will also profit from the University of Minnesota’s experience in offering languages across the curriculum courses and nationally known expertise in internationalizing the curriculum and study abroad.
