Organized by Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc. (TESOL), in collaboration with University Partners in Doha, Qatar, and Qatar TESOL, TESOL Arabia, and other TESOL affiliates in the region.

The TESOL Conference on Putting Research Into Practice is a 3-day event where experts from across the region and around the world focus on three key areas of applied research in the field of English language teaching:

* Understanding the "good language learner"
* Bridging the gap between goals and results
* Facilitating and supporting ongoing professional development

In addition to the conference in Qatar, papers and resources will be posted online for discussion.
