Sustainable Teacher Development Through Innovative Teaching and Research
Beijing Normal University
Beijing, China

Overview

Many countries, China in particular, are experiencing a rapid pace of economic change along with growth in demand for English language teaching (ELT). Effective teacher development, achieved through high-quality, sustainable ELT programs, policies, and practices, is the most important factor in meeting the changing needs of students for improved learning outcomes. Participants will learn in-depth about key issues in ELT language policy and teacher development, including how to apply leading ELT research and innovative practice, adapted to the context and needs of China today.

Organized by TESOL, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, a Global Education Association, in partnership with the School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Beijing Normal University.
