By the calendar October may seem a long way off, but that's not the case if you are part of TESL Ontario's conference committee! Our 39th annual conference, from October 27th to 29th in Toronto, promises to deliver the broadest array of professional development available for ESL professionals in Ontario. We believe our conference theme, Language Learning: A Focus on Success, will inspire you to mark your calendars now and plan to attend. We rely heavily on our TESL members and colleagues to make this conference a success and invite you to consider presenting at the conference. The introduction of a poster session last year was very popular and will be available again this year. With conference assistance available to a number of ESL, LINC and ELT instructors there is a wide range of levels and topics that attendees will find appealing so please consider sharing your experience and expertise.

Plans are proceeding for the other key elements of the conference as well; plenary speakers have been approached, as have our research and symposia guests. Plans also include the annual panel presentation, lots of exhibitors, and you won't want to miss the Welcome Reception or Friday evening dinner and entertainment. We recognize that cutbacks have affected many individuals so perhaps the best news of all is that there will not be an increase in conference fees this year!
