All classes are free. Pay only one $10 registration fee per person per class per year. Some classes require purchase of text books. Registration for most classes is done at the class. Students get help filling out the government’s N-400 application form, practicing for the USCIS interview, and learning about American civics and history. Minimum beginner-level English is required. ESL Multi LevelEnglish as a Second LanguageThis program is designed to provide training in communication skills ranging from basic survival English through English proficiency required for employment and citizenship. English language is taught in the context of life skills including health, education, employment, nutrition, emergencies, recreation, and environment.English as a Second Language Evening ProgramsOur evening classes are open entry, so students may enroll at any time. We offer two levels at the Ventura Adult Education Center, 5280 Valentine Road, and one multi-level class at the Westview Center, Olive Street off Ventura Avenue.
